I mentioned in the "About Me" page that as a semi-professional photographer, wedding photography was a big aspect of my business back in the day. It has been many years since I have shot a wedding but I wanted to showcase some of these events. I am very proud of the images and albums that I produced for my clients. The wedding day can be especially stressful for everyone involved and I put in a lot of effort to relieve that stress to allow more enjoyment for all.
Storybook albums were a big deal when I was shooting weddings. Building great storybook albums was all about capturing the small details of the wedding - close up details of the bouquets, the fabric texture and print of the dresses, the table settings, etc. All of these details played a big role in the success of the storybook albums. If you look at the storybook collages you will see the details scattered throughout.
At that time, albums were big and online digital galleries were just beginning to take hold. I know I am dating myself right now but it really was a great time to be in photography because of all of the technology that was beginning to develop.
I mainly wanted to showcase these albums to show my photographic style which hasn't changed a lot over the years. Even as I look at these photos and albums now, the style is timeless and many of the photos would fit into current day wedding albums. The technology has certainly changed for the better but it is still important to get the shot first and not rely on technology to fix it.
